Introduction

Welcome to our website! FutureUK is a newly-founded, independent political research and discussion organisation, focussing solely on constitutional affairs. Such issues are likely to be at the cutting edge of UK politics in the years ahead.

Historically, questions of constitutional reform have been dominated by centre-left perspectives, proposals and policies. We believe that there should be a forum for independently and conservatively minded people to develop constitutional ideas and consider what would be the best constitutional settlement for the UK in the 21st century.

FutureUK will consider the near term political agenda and also transcend it to look towards that goal. Our scope is all internal constitutional issues – the powers and proceedings of Parliament, the devolved institutions, local government and direct democracy.
